Hourly Support Services

Many individuals with developmental disabilities desire less structured supports, provided in their family home or other settings. REM Wisconsin works with an individual and his or her family to provide hourly supports that help people with disabilities remain as independent as possible.

Independent Living Supports

KitchenHelpIn-home supports are available to help individuals live in the community as independently as possible, particularly those who have transitioned from more restrictive settings. Trained staff provide a variety of assistance for people living on their own or learning to do so. Hourly supports are tailored to the needs and goals of the person. Individuals learn daily living skills and regularly participate in community activities and vocational programs, all of which provide for a greater sense of independence and personal identity.

Family Supports

In-home supports are available to individuals who live at home with their families yet wish to retain a sense of independence. Hourly supports are tailored to the needs and goals of the person. Individuals learn daily living skills and regularly participate in community activities and vocational programs.

Relief Care

Relief Care is available for individuals who live with their families or another service provider, allowing both parties a healthy change in routine – either on an hourly basis or overnight.
